We’ve had some of the winter’s coldest weather this week. Wednesday’s high was about 3, with 10 forecast for Thursday, 15 for Fri, 20 for Sat, and finally 30 for Sun. We did have about 10 (F) yesterday, Thursday, and suddenly today arrived, and it was 35 degrees in places, with 44 now forecast for Saturday. Ahh, Colorado!
I knew I was going to be at the Fellowship at our usual suppertime on Friday, so Thursday I got out the 6 quart crockpot from its case, and made enough soup for 2 days, yellow split pea.
Within 90 seconds of lifting the crockpot out of the case, this is how the case looked:
I have been working on a set of needlepoint seat covers for over three years. I adapted the designs from several books I have, taking a pattern here, and a motif there, and a border from somewhere else. I am going to make two each of three designs. I have now finished the first of each design, and am now starting the second of each. Here are the first three pieces displayed, with my mom, Pat, who taught me to needlepoint standing behind them.
